Description: From Gamewornauctions:
This white dureen Campbell Conference All Star jersey by Cosby was worn by Bernie Parent during the 1977 NHL All Star game held at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, British Columbia. Parent is considered among the all-time greats in the sport and has the hardware to back it up. He was among the most dominating goaltenders of his or any generation. During the decade of the 1970’s he was twice voted first team NHL All Star and also earned a 2nd team WHA All Star selection from his one season sabbatical with the Blazers in 1972-73. He backed it up the following season with another stellar playoff run leading the Flyers to back to back Stanley Cup Championships. A freak eye injury in 1979 prematurely ended Parent’s career at the age of 34. Bernie has rightfully earned himself a place in Hockey’s Hall of Fame as one of the greatest goalies in the history of the sport. Sewn to the collar of this stunning gamer is the Cosby and size tagging. Game use is evident in the form of stick and puck marks along with some inner pilling. This gamer has been in Bernie’s personal collection since leaving the ice some 30+ years ago and is being offered to the hobby for the first time. This jersey will be accompanied by a letter from Bernie Parent as well as a photo taken of Bernie the day of signing. |
