Description: From Classic Auctions: Fabulous “Big Apple” mask was used by University of Wisconsin graduate Wayne Thomas, who played his last four NHL seasons in New York, after having split his first four years between Montreal and Toronto. Along with the big apple, the mask’s paint incorporates hockey sticks running up both sides. With its original straps and red-painted padded back plate, the otherwise padless mask shows excellent game use with small chips and scrapes and a rough bottom edge, at the base of the mouth area. Yet another museum worthy piece of hockey history for goalie/mask/Rangers collectors to contemplate.
