Description: Former Lake Superior State goalie was Montreal's 3rd string goalie during their playoff run in 1989. This jersey was prepared for Exelby but was most likely never worn, though it appears to have been washed a few times. Exelby was the starting goalie in Sherbrooke in the AHL in 1988-89 and played 52 games going 31-13-6 and posting a 2.98 GAA.  Despite being the Canadiens first pick in the 1986 draft, he only played in one game for the Canadiens, replacing Roy for 2 minutes and 52 seconds in road loss to the Sabres. He was then trade to the Oilers the following season and played one game for them before retiring after another season in the AHL.
